Tonight we went with Drew (One of my work colleagues) to his place out in the Valley on Old Highway 69. First Drew ploughed the front drive a bit, then we went and he let me plough the back yard. It was awesome fun! I want a plough for the Versa now!! Then we moved some of the car around and finished ploughing the front part. That garage is fully heated, so went in there and took a look at the snow machines, Drew made a track round the back and on to the snow machine trail which is that track to the right of the garages, then I took his snow machine maybe half a mile down the trail and back, since I was dressed for work I was a little cold at 30mph so didn’t go any further. Then we went and got a pizza and dropped by […]
It is forecast to snow a lot this week, it started today.. I heard that we are meant to get about 15cm today, then more tomorrow. We went to the Big Nickel after work today. Pictures.
We decided to go to Niagara with Rebecca. We checked the weather report again and again prior to our drive south. In the end we had great weather, it was blue sky’s and sun all the way there and back, short of the last hour and a half to Sudbury. It was light, no where near as bad as when Hannah and I drove down three years back. In hind sight we drover in particularly poor conditions that time! I didn’t bat an eye lid at the time, maybe I am getting….. We had a great time, saw the falls and went into one of the casino’s. We also met up with one of Rebecca’s friends from Uni. Her dad took us out for dinner at a nice Italian restaurant in Niagara. The day after we went on the journey behind the falls then went to where the whirl pool […]
Hannah and I were out almost all of Saturday doing things, mainly though we went for Coffee with a lady Hannah used to teach IT too, we went to Tim’s in the morning. We went our separate ways around lunch time, Hannah went and played Porketta Bingo, where she had a great time and won some porketta!! It is played by purchasing three playing cars, i.e. a king of spades, a seven of clubs and a 2 of hearts. they are stuck to a piece of card, then the caller calls out the cards, once they have called all of your cards you shout out ‘Porketta’. You win 1lb of portketta which is very well cooked and seasoned pork. Mean while I had gone off to meet Brian to go and take aerial photos of the wild life centre. He has a microlight plane which he built. We flew out […]
Christmas Eve I took a video of the snow blowing around, it had gone really fine and dry.. Youtube We are enjoying the snow! Its great, its been warm and cold over the last couple of days. We have mainly been chilling and relaxing, playing games and reading books etc. We saw the new Tintin film on Tuesday night, it was very good, we enjoyed it anyway. We have been walked a bit in the snow, went to Lake Ramsey, which is pretty frozen now, I walked out until about 2m into the lake.. It felt solid.. We took lots of pictures. Considering how much we missed you all we still managed to have a lovely Christmas.
It hasn’t stopped snowing now for6 hours or so, we had about 6 inches of snow on the car when we left to go and see the Living Nativity (http://www.allnationschurch.ca/). It was really cool to see the snow, it really feels like Christmas now. Hannah was very excited to clear the car of snow, I made snow balls, and she swept snow at me.. We had fun, the we drove out to Science North, where the car park was completely full, cars every where! We drove into and back out of the carpark, we were able to park 3 turnings up the road on the left. We walked back to the show, we got there and it had started, we watched from the hill (Here – Link to Google maps) and watched the show (Here). Were were stood with another 50 or so people. We then walked down and got […]

Well this week we have been pretty busy, I can’t remember what we did, but I assure you we have been busy. Tuesday night we went and saw the living nativity at Science North, we got there a little early so we walked over to the hospital where we bought a Tim Hortons hot chocolate. When we got back they were giving out free hot chocolates!! I got some pictures. The first photo is not just of Hannah, it is of Hannah with her new hand crafted scarf and broach! Wednesday night we went and saw the new Mission impossible movie and then tonight we have tided the flat. Hope you are all winding down nicely now in preparation for the holidays!
