I went out in the Land Rover on Saturday and discovered it had something of a misfire when underload.

I imagine it’s something to do with the ignition system;

..so pulled the distributor cap off, leads and plugs out;

Now I am not sure, but two of the plugs where broken when I got them out, now whether they were damaged before I tried to remove them, or whether I simply broke them taking them out, I can not be certain either way.

I have cleaned up all of the other components and will get a new set of plugs, which wouldn’t have done any harm either way, and we’ll see if that resolves the issue.
