I spent a few hours yesterday evening putting the new rear off side brake shoes on and then tested and reassembled the locking diff back into the axle.

While I was there with the wheel off, I had some waste oil and gave the inside of the ear corss member a clean off and coat.

Then ran the air compessor and with the diff on the floor and half shafts poked into it, tested the diff to make sure it would lock and unlock. Then just chucked it in.

For a test I thought I’d take it out for a very quick and gently run, but along the way thought I’d pick up the concrete lumps from the park.

Someone else had clearly been thought there since I had been up there. I threw all of the concrete bits into the big hole/puddle where I’d found it to be soft. Just needs few more tonnes now..
