Yes you read it right, we did, honestly. We did! Here are some pictures that we took after we’d gone past at about 90km/h, stopped, turned around at the next safe opertunity, pulled up on the side of the road, gone into the trunk (boot) and retirved my camera, then gotten back into the car.. in this time I think the bear had decided that it wasn’t going to hang about for the tourists to watch one going about one’s business, it was able to cover about 50 or so meters away from us in a very short time, far faster than I could have run.. Impressive to say the least.
We weren’t the only ones to stop, a truck went by and came back to take pictures also..
