I discovered three 5m lengths of 25mm diameter rusty steel bars tucked in the rafters of the garage. I called Alan to discuss what they might be, he proposed wall tie rods, i feel that’s pretty probably and am willing to run with that. I wondered what to do with them and hit on an idea, i shall make a swing frame from them. I put a nice bend in one tonight.
Stuck tthe blow torch on it for a bit and just bent it nicely right in the middle. Now i need to drag the others out and do the same to another. Then weld a cross beam in, perhaps bolt? I don’t know, need to think about it’s construction. If it’s fully welded it’ll be jolly heavy and also not collapsible.
