Joel pointed out to me that I should put LEDs on the helicopter so that I can fly at night. So I had two LEDs, red and green. They constructed such that I cab plug them into a small LiPo battery for my small heli.
Today my new skids for the helicopter turned up. I crashed while flying at Alan’s a few weeks ago and broke one ski of. It took just a few minutes to replace the skids. But after my crash last weekend I am now awaiting the arrival of a new servo. I bought some disc brakes for my disc conversion project. And then this afternoon I finally built a little stand, so that Tigger’s litter tray stay in the bath room, but we could also have a drawer unit there too. Today we went to Waddesdon Manor, which is a National Trust property. The house wasn’t open, but we walked all around the grounds.
I have been trying to add an auxiliary jack to my head unit in the Volvo. The reason being that it’s a old Amplitude Modulation type radio. As such I can’t listen to anything that I want to, only FiveLive and some foreign channels. So I borrowed an oscilloscope and was doing some testing, when the some smoke came out of the wires connecting my phone to the head unit, the wires were an old set of head phones, with the ear bud cut off and wires tinned for a good connection. The phone repair guy remarked that he was unable to fix my phone and that he was surprised that my phone seek worked at all because the mother board was actually charcoal in that corner! All the components were fried.
This post contains events that might cause distress to some readers (They did to Hannah). We let Tigger out into the big wide world, on Sunday evening, we opened one of the sash windows and he gingerly went out onto the window sill. Then onto the ground outside and with in a few minutes he’d disappeared into the trees. Tigger came back a few times during the following 20 minutes then we decided to bring him in so that we could go out. All had gone well. Today; Tigger was going a little wild, so Hannah let him out this morning at about 9.15. He took off into the bushes. Hannah was once again concerned worried, but then at about 12noon he came back, Hannah spotted him, called his name and came running across the patio outside and jumped in through the open window! We’re thrilled that our Canadian cat […]
Ian (Hannah’s friend) came and visited us on Sunday, we had a roast for lunch then went for a leisurely walk along the Thames and afterwards to a pub for hot chocolates, I had a nice cup of tea. In the evening Hannah and I went to see a fireworks display (For Guy Fawkes night, a celebration of this fellows attempt to blow up parliament in the 1500’s – ok, well that’s no entirely true.). Here are a few pictures:
We went and visited some National Trust gardens today, about an hour north of Maidenhead. Very pretty, we spent a few hours walking around the gardens, a lovely way to spend a day. Nice to get in free too!
