I now have the gutter on the garage, just in time for the rain. I got a little footage of the gutter working shortly after installing it:
The last 3 roofing sheets turned up today and I got them on just in time for the weather to turn tomorrow. Next I need to go to Mole Valley Farmers for some 200×22 mm timber for the fascia boards to cover the top of the wall all around and then fit the gutter.
I asked a friend to come and help me remove the old roof and build the new roof in three days. We actually managed the removal and build in less than 2 days, but the tidy up and final work is not yet finished. Everything I needed two people to do is done however. Two trips to the tip have been completed also, mostly plant material that was growing over the roof. I have yet to break up some of the old pallets and dispose of them. I collected some stone slabs from a neighbour today. It was a bit of fun as it was an excuse to drive up a footpath for access to their back garden.
We visited the Isle of Wight for 5 nights. Stayed at a most lovely all inclusive relatives. We visited the Donkey Sanctuary, the needles, the Monkey heaven and the steam railway amongst other places.
