I fitted the flexi joint in the exhuast some time ago (https://bhhh.co.uk/exhaust-flexi/), I hoped that this would stop the joint between the exhuast down pipe and manifold from taking so much load and working free. Well, it’s worked free again, this time though I have applied an exhuast repair paste stuff which I think has fibre glass in it, so we’ll see how well that does.
The tower was open for people to go to the top on Saturday. We booked our visit and went up, the weather held and we had pretty spectacular views, though an extra 22 m on top of 240 mASL isn’t a huge amount, but it does get you above the hedges and shrubs. We also had a bit of a walk about.. And inside… On google maps:
I modelled this RC helicopter ages back, but came across the model again recently and thought I’d pout into Vectary so that it could be viewed here:
The previous version was done using short straight edges to make up curves, the profiler noticed this and thought that this would show in the finished product, so I completely re-drew it in better software. Rather than AutoCAD I used OnShape, which is far more user friendly for doing this kind of thing.
I did this design for Alan, it’s in memory of his late grandfather. Left mouse button – move/rotate the camera positionRight mouse button – PanMiddle button – Press & move mouse forwards/backwards or roll – Zoom
We picked up a couple of plants from a local garden centre and planted the acer: I used some of the bark that had come off the rings which I collected some rings of a fallen tree at the cricket pitch. Those were the rings I picked up back in January of 2022.
I have finally made a new centre bit for the steering wheel. Just a wooden thing with a leather cover that jams into the opening and covers the retaining nut.
I bought some paint for the Land Rover. I wanted some Nato/olive green, this kind of colour: And I am pretty sure that was description on the eBay advert. In person and in good light it’s quite bright! Oh well, next time..
At long last we’ve gotten the kitchen tiling done. This is before and during: And then done: Also where we had a small patch of concrete floor exposed, we decided to have some fun and do a little mosaic using the tile samples we’d had. Just need to get some grout now and also stick on the new bit of skirting board that I gave a second coat of paint to last night.
