Hannah’s mum and dad arrived in Toronto last week so they spent a couple of days there, then went into Niagara where Hannah and I met them. On the way down we got a big chip in the windscreen.. We spent two nights there and then the four of us traveled back to Sudbury. We decided that we would all go to Ottawa the next weekend as Hannah had Thursday and Friday off, so we left on the Thursday and got in at about 4pm. We again spent two nights there, we saw the houses of parliament, the Rideau Canal, the national art gallary, the Canadian Mint and a few other things. Martin and I borrowed a couple of bikes from the hotel and rode all the way to Quebec and back! We also went for a fathers day/Hannah’s birthday meal in the Hard Roc Cafe, where we told them […]
So in case you were wonder if I survived the black fly bite. I did. It was gone within about 36 hours. We didn’t get up too much last week. On Saturday there was a Celtic festival at Bell park, Celtic High Land games (which consisted of caber toss and weight over the bar), Celtic singing even Celtic weather! It rained all day.. We went, mainly to witness the full contact jousting, apparently it is the same people who did the jousting on Discovery Channel recently, also there were stalls and other entertainment going on. We also came across a British foods shall, where Hannah was able to buy Hula Hoops, Fruit Pastels and some mints. She is pretty excited!! Here are all the pictures of the Jousting
